A Letter from our Founder

After seven incredible years, I would like to announce that I will be closing Serwaa Beauty...

I built this company from the ground up, with a vision and a deep desire to serve women who looked like me. As a former makeup artist, I saw firsthand the hesitation many Black women felt about wearing certain colors because the beauty industry simply did not market to us. We were often overlooked. I wanted to change that.

From day one, I made it a priority to center black women in all of my campaigns and to show, boldly and unapologetically, that we can wear any shade regardless of our skin tone. Serwaa Beauty was never just about lipstick or gloss. It was about confidence, visibility, and rewriting the narrative.

With the support of this community, I was able to build a brand I am deeply proud of. Your encouragement, purchases, messages, and loyalty carried me through every season - high and low.

At this time, I have made the decision to close Serwaa Beauty’s operations in the United States as I transition to a new chapter in Ghana. This is not the end of my journey - only a shift in direction. I am excited about what lies ahead and grateful for everything this season has taught me.

Thank you for believing in me. Thank you for building this brand with me. And thank you for being part of these unforgettable seven years.

With love and deep appreciation,

- Nana Serwaa (Founder)
